Just to mention this work by Ray Bateson, Irish Graves
Publications (Hardback), Dublin, 2012. ISBN 978-0-9542275-3-1.
Second in a planned series of four books, this one examines and commemorates the deaths of members of the two police forces during the 1916 Rising.
Not just those shot in Dublin & Ashbourne..... 3 DMP and 14 RIC violently lost their lives at that time.
According to the publisher, the first book dealt with the Volunteers ("They died by Pearse's side" - I've never seen that one).
The next two are "to focus on the deaths of Civilians and British Soldiers" in the Rising.

I have the book but have only barely glanced through it to date.
Quoting from the back page blurb, it is based on "newspaper reports, inquests, trials and witness statements" and includes photos of some victims as well as pictures of their graves and various memorials at locations where they died.
