Whilst searching for old artefacts I came across an envelope marked on the outside - "On His Majesty's Service" - therefore clearly pre 1952. Amongst the contents were the following - 2 x photos marked on the rear Sergt Carson RIC. The handwriting is spidery and I think is by someone who was well advanced in years. There is no other information about the gentleman or his wife other than the photographers name - Reid Bros, 81 High Street, Belfast. I have a fairly good knowledge of Belfast having been brought up here and 81 seems to have been in the region of what is now the High Park Centre. I cannot recall any photographers shop in that area. Clearly Sergt Carson and his wife were someone's relatives.
